SNOW DAY CHANGES
The snow day on wednesday means the following changes:
Chem 111--> test changed to friday february 29...please do scientist sheet for thursday....unscramble name of scientist and go through chapter two and write down two contributions for each
Chem 112--> labs will carry on one extra day so the monday after march break will be a lab day
Chem 122--> the quiz on Hess' Law will be on thursday. You will receive your march break assignment on thursday, rather than wednesday.
Feb 27-Wednesday-snow day
--> Changed to thursday Feb 28
because of snow day
Chem 112-Sheet 3 will be passed in, then we will move on to the next experiment. If you finish this early, you may pass it in and get yesterday's lab back to finish. Otherwise, you will need to come in at noon-hour on thursday (first half of noon) or the monday and/or tuesday noon hour after march break.

Chem 111-Today is our last day to wrap up this unit. We will spending time on ions, RRR(this is on page 82 in your reading it means restrict, revise and replace), going over STEEP and checking over some answers to questions and worksheets. I forgot to return your metric quizzes, yet again......Please see me early friday for these. You may want to check them over before the test.

Chem 111-Today I will do another homeowrk check. We will go over the temporary naming scheme for elements that are newly discovered. If you are reading this ahead of time the information will be available on the wiki site tonight. I will also be going over the quantum mechanical model of the atom with s p d and f orbitals. The following will be assigned: scientists from ch 2, p56 1 to 5. STEEP
Feb 25-Monday
Chem 112-Today we will have a quiz on the 9 polyatomic ion names. We then will go over irregular naming of polyatomic ions. I will do a homework check on 32 and 33 from friday. We will sign our lab contract (on tuesday)and go to the lab for our prelab work so that we can do labs the next 4 days. Please note that the irregular polyatomic ions worksheet needs to be done for tomorrow in order to get into the lab.(this is handout 1 of the sheets that were given to you today)
Chem 122 p2- I will do a big homework check on the work we did last week. We will do delta H using the formation reaction table. p 383, 384 #11a,c #12 b,c and #13. We will spend the last part of class finishing our group work.

Chem 111-Today we spent more time on half life problems. The first half life worksheet should be completed for tomorrow. (3, 5, 6, 8). We finished our work on nuclear with what radioisotopes were. I assigned the other half of the worksheet (2 Atomic theory: isotopes) that had the periodic table assignment on it (Sheet 1). Please note that you have a test on thursday. Be sure to spend some time studying and reading the pages outlined on the test review sheet. This is on the bottom of the half life problem worksheet that you have been using.
